SMS Messaging Terms
Last updated July 2026
These terms describe how text messaging works when a local service business uses Rally to communicate with its customers.
Who sends messages
Messages are sent by the service business (for example, a plumbing, HVAC, or electrical company), assisted by the Rally software tool, to that business's own customers. Messages are sent as the business — not as an automated assistant.
Consent
A business only texts customers who have an established relationship with it and who provided their mobile number when requesting service — by calling, filling out the business's booking or quote form, or texting the business directly — and who were told the business would text them about their job.
Message types & frequency
Messages relate to the customer's jobs: confirming appointments, sending and following up on quotes, coordinating arrival times, and answering questions. Frequency varies with the conversation; many messages are replies to the customer.
Opt out & help
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, END) to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP or INFO for help. When you opt out, you'll receive a one-time confirmation that you've been unsubscribed and will receive no further texts from the business via Rally. Msg & data rates may apply.
